National Native American AIDS Prevention Center Mission Statement!

Our Mission is to eliminate HIV/AIDS and confront related health and social determinants that negatively
impact American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian and Indigenous peoples.

NNNAAPC offers a variety of programs to help promote education about HIV/AIDS, support prevention efforts, help foster healthy attitudes about sexuality and sexual health in the Native community.

Resources

NNAAPC understands the kind of HIV/AIDS prevention work being done and is committed to providing access to the resources that we have developed ourselves and acquired over the years from our many partners.

Publications

Our organization has produced a variety of publications, primarily HIV/AIDS specific material, that are designed to help educate our Native communities and the health care providers who serve them.

NNAAPC Welcomes Eight New Members to our Board of Directors

DENVER, CO - Please Welcome Rev. Alvin Deer (Muscogee Creek), Joaquin Gallegos (Jicarilla Apache/ Santa Ana Pueblo), Darrell Joe (Navajo Nation), Shawn Olson (Assiniboine), Taija Revels (Tlijngit), Todd Theringer (Leech Lake Ojibwe), Rydell Todicheeney (Navajo Nation0, and Christopher Zubiate (Ysleta Pueblo) to the National Native American AIDS Prevention Board of Directors.

Board Chairperson Mary Helen Deer said, "This is an exciting time for NNAAPC. I believe we have an excellent group with the experience and dedication to continue the important work begun in 1987. The NNAAPC Board has new blood and the talent to move forward." We believe through shared purpose the mission of eliminating HIV/AIDS and confronting related health and social determinants that negatively impact American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiians and Indigenous peoples can be achieved.

It is with mixed emotions that we welcome these new Board members and say farewell to three veteran members of the Board: Selina Moose (Inupiat), Lurline McGregor, (Native Hawaiian), and Mary Helen Deer (Muscogee/ Creek). NNAAPC is grateful for the time and energy each has given to the organization to achieve its vision of Indigenous Communities free of HIV where health, wellness, and balance are celebrated. We wish the best for each of these dedicated individuals and bid them a fond farewell.
